After six days, Zagreb Auto Show, the 15th international car, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and the supporting industry fair, the most prestigious car fair in Central and South-Eastern Europe, has closed its doors. The fair occupied all available accommodation capacities, a total of 70,000 m2 of exhibition space divided in 14 pavilions and outdoors. This year, there were 142,822 domestic and foreign visitors, of which 12,265 businessmen, which points out the high economic status of this project.
As a general sponsor, INA also provided an attractive program this year within its showroom in Pavilion 8 of Zagreb Velesajam. Visitors could see INA’s special retro story and exposed cars from oldtimers to modern rally cars, and find out all about INA’s high quality fuels, lubricants and the new INA’s catering concept – Fresh Corner. In co-operation with the University of Zagreb – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, as part of the project named Formula Student, a formula car was presented at the stand, and visitors could also test their driving skills at the INA’s simulators and win prizes. INA’s booth was also visited by our successful athletes – Croatian handball player Zlatko Horvat, water polo player Ivan Marcelić, of the Croatian Water Polo Association, basketball players from KK Cedevita – Marko Arapović and Toni Katić, Hockey KHL Medveščak Ivan Janković, Vito Nikolić, David Brine and Jan Smolec and our gold medal winner Sara Kolak from the Athletic Club Kvarner Rijeka. The atmosphere was additionally raised by the members of the popular Croatian music group Opća Opasnost who were mingling with the visitors.
Zagreb Auto Show had 133 premiers of vehicles, including three European vice premiers. There were 85 brands of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, commercial vehicles and campers of which were 28 car brands, 36 brands of motorcycles, 11 bicycles, 19 brands of commercial vehicles, 5 buses and 5 car brands. With the exceptional financial and organizational support of the City of Zagreb and INA, Zagreb Auto Show as an exceptional car event proudly presents Zagreb and Croatia on the world’s fairs calendar, with only 17 such unique fairs existing, which come from the prestigious OICA family of car saloons.
