Disposal of used cooking oil

INA is a socially responsible company that takes care of preserving our environment. To that end, the company has launched a pilot project within which it is possible to dispose of used cooking oil at 30 retail locations.

Did you know that:

  • Used cooking oil is biodegradable and is not considered dangerous waste, but if larger quantities end up in soil or water it can temporarily endanger flora and fauna
  • It is the most common cause of clogged water pipes and unpleasant odours, which can lead to expensive repairs
  • More than two litres of used cooking oil per inhabitant is created every year in Croatia
  • Used cooking oil is valuable raw material

How is recycled waste oil used?
Waste oils are important raw materials. Recycled waste cooking oil can be used for production of biofuels, soap, detergents and synthetic rubber.
