Zagreb, 16 November 2023 – In Slovenia, on the Podravje highway (Gruškovje – Maribor), in the direction of Gruškovje, respectively the Macelj border crossing in Croatia, INA’s first retail outlet was opened as part of the rebranding project of former OMV Slovenia gas stations. A new visual identity is planned for 27 service stations that were the subject of a joint acquisition by INA and MOL.
After MOL and INA successfully took over 130 service stations from the Slovenian OMV at the end of June, the renovation and change of the visual identity of the stations began. The projected duration of the project will be until the end of April 2024, and rebranded stations can already be seen at some locations. The first service station in Slovenia that took on INA’s exterior appearance is located on the Podravje highway (Gruškovje – Maribor), so this winter Croatian skiers on their way back from ski resorts towards the border crossing Macelj will have a recognizable place where they can refuel and refresh themselves with their favorite products. Let’s note that during 2024, INA and MOL also plan to expand Fresh Corner, a gastronomic concept that customers in Croatia and the region have recognized and excellently accepted, at the acquired retail outlets.
By taking over OMV Slovenia together with MOL, INA increased its share from 7.75 percent, which it held in OMV Slovenia, to 33 percent in the new joint company MOL&INA d.o.o., which manages a joint network of 130 gas stations in Slovenia. Together, MOL and INA are thus positioned in second place on the Slovenian oil derivatives market. INA will be the first-choice supplier, when it comes to crude oil derivatives, of all MOL Group retail outlets in Slovenia, and the expansion into the Slovenian market also opens new opportunities for the Rijeka Refinery, which, as the closest source, shall further increase the security of supply to the Slovenian market.
