INA introduces the energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001:2011

Zagreb, 7 December 2015 – INA Group has successfully completed the certification process conducted by an independent accreditation agency and thus introduced the energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001:2011, which specifies the requirements for the energy management system applicable to all organisations, regardless of their type and size. With its introduction, the INA Group Energy Policy was established.

The energy management system is exclusively the result of the work of internal experts, and was realised without utilising additional resources, external consultants or IT solutions. In the given period of a little more than six months, through dedicated work the project team designed and established the energy management system, and defined three general goals of INA Group with regard to energy: the reduction of energy consumption, optimisation of energy sources and introduction of new forms of energy aligned with best available techniques in the industry.

The INA Group fundamental commitment in energy management is to achieve measurable results relating to energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption. Energy consumption is taken into account during the decision-making process in the design and procurement of equipment, materials and services, while the periodical forecasts regarding energy use enable a more efficient planning of operational tasks, investments and achieving new improvements with the energy management system.
