Zagreb, 29 March 2023 – For the third year in a row, Croatia is hosting the World Rally Championship race. WRC Croatia Rally 2023 will be held from 20 to 23 April, and the warm-up began at INA’s retail location in Zagreb-Resnik, where the continuation of cooperation between INA and the race organizers was presented by signing a two-year contract for 2023 and 2024.
In 2022, the WRC Croatia Rally gathered more than 310,000 spectators who followed the speed tests on our roads. This had a strong impact on the increased number of overnight stays by tourists in the counties that hosted the race, and the total economic effects for Croatia are estimated at more than 105 million euros. Thus, this event once again proved to be one of the most respectable sports manifestations in Croatia and the region, which strongly contributes to the image of Croatia as a top tourist and sports destination.
INA Management Board President Péter Ratatics commented on the continued cooperation between the company and the WRC Croatia Rally and presented INA’s new improved fuels: “INA proudly supports prestigious competitions such as the WRC Croatia Rally, and this global spectacle is closely related to our industry. Tourism, motoring and excellence are our main points of connection, and today we are proud to present the new improved Class Plus fuels with new Expert additives for even better performance and power of the car. The WRC Croatia Rally is the sports event of the year in Croatia, and the inclusion of INA in this high-octane story is a natural continuation of the company’s long-standing support for motoring and sports. Daniel Šaškin, president of the WRC Croatia Rally 2023 organizing committee, thanked the partners who made this adrenaline-pumping spectacle possible: “WRC Croatia Rally is growing at all levels, and together with it, it is strengthening motorsport as well as local communities through the economic and tourist benefits that this the event brings. The elite rally drivers will fight for points and the best possible placement in the overall standings of the race, and INA ambassador and rally driver Viliam Prodan, who himself participated in the race last year, knows what that feeling is like best: “Last year it was exciting! It’s a big adrenaline rush for both us and the spectators when the roar of the engine starts. The best of the best from the automotive world gather here in one place, and that’s why I believe that this year will also delight! What also excites me as a driver are the new Expert additives in Class Plus fuel. It’s nice to see that INA cares about the performance of our everyday cars.”

Attractive speed tests as part of the WRC Croatia Rally 2023 will be driven on a route 1,650 kilometers long through five Croatian counties – Varaždin, Krapinsko-zagorska, Zagreb, Karlovac, Primorsko-goranska and the city of Zagreb. This year too, the service parking lot, the ceremonial start and the finish ramp will be in Zagreb near the INA administrative building in Novi Zagreb, and most of the speed tests will take place in Karlovac County. Spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy the rich gastronomic offer from the Fresh Corner houses, which will be set up in several attractive locations, such as the Service Park behind INA’s administrative building in Zagreb and next to the track in Kumrovec, where the final rally is held.
